Multi-Measure projects
The project aims to promote creativity and innovation as necessary competencies to the development of social cohesion and youth self-development. As well the project aims to equip youth workers with the competencies necessary to promote creativity and innovation in youth people in their local communities and at international level.
The main idea of the project is to promote these competencies through the promotion of creativity and innovation. This will be done not working directly with youth but working with youth workers and staff involved in youth work. Those will participate in the activities foresee in the project and will learn how to promote creativity and innovation in youth through a training course (main activity). After this course the participants will develop follow-up activities with youth using the new achievements. A final evaluation seminar will serve the aim of evaluating and improving the whole work and the impact of the course.
As stated in the IP/08/482 (Brussels, 31/03/2008) creativity and innovation are necessary to achieve social cohesion. As far as youth people develop their creative and innovative competencies they will be more capable of accepting differences (cultural, religious, interpersonal) and of answering to conflicts in a creative nonviolent way. As well their capacities in problem solving and the increasing of creativity in itself will contribute to the increase of quality of life and to self-development. The stimulation of innovation will give youth the necessary skills to create the own future at their own measure. And this is each time more important as we live in a challenging multicultural society in which its necessary to create alternative ways and invent the own future.
